With so many options in the world of photos and memories, sometimes it's hard to know where to start!
Here is a list of my favorite products and companies. Please note this page does contain affiliate links. This means that if you purchase from some of these links, I will receive a small commission from the sale at no extra cost to you. I only recommend products that I personally use and genuinely recommend.
Legacy Republic -- Do you have old home movies on VHS tapes, camcorder tapes and even reels cluttering your closets that can't be enjoyed anymore? What about those slides, negatives, and prints that you made before digital cameras and phones became the most popular way to take photos? These can be digitized so you can enjoy them again and have them preserved for the future. I have a media collection day every other month where I gather all these old memories and send them in to be digitized. Your receive your original memories back and the memories on DVDs and in an online Memory Share Account. The next collection day will be November 26. Email me at email@example.com and let me know you're interested so I give your more information as the date gets closer.
Guaranteed Photo Storage -- Are you looking for permanent, private, and secure cloud based backup of your photos? This service gives you the option to share your photos with your family and friends, but they are not used for anything else. Your photos are stored at full resolution so if you ever need to download them again you can. They are also migrated to the most current digital format as technology changes so you can be assured that future generations will be able to view and download the photos you've added. You can also set it up so that photos you take on your phone are automatically uploaded to Forever so you never have to worry about losing photos if you lost your phone or running out of space.
Historian Software -- Organization and editing for all your digital photos, videos, and scans of printed photos. This PC software will help you get all your memories in one place, which is the first step I recommend.
Artisan Scrapbooking Software -- If you want to create digital scrapbooks, cards, invitations, and more, this PC software is what you want. It works well with the Historian software mentioned above to create all kinds of digital projects.
Digital Artwork and Forever Printshop -- Also available at the Forever site is artwork for you to use in your digital projects and the Forever Printshop. You can print from your Artisan software directly to the printshop, or you can also create books, cards, calendars, and canvas prints from the photos in your Forever Storage account.
If you need additional assistance with getting started with the Forever family of projects, visit my YouTube Channel and check out my playlists. You can also set up a Two Hour Training session if you need in depth assistance.
Backblaze -- A cloud based backup of your entire computer with a free trial. You can have peace of mind that all your photos and all other files on your computer are backed up if your computer crashed.
The Legacy Box Collection -- This is a great solution for storing your printed photos up to size 5 X 7. The large box holds 2400 photos and the small box holds 1200 photos. These are only available through Personal Photo Organizers, so email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will order these for you.
Flip Pal Scanner -- This is the small portable scanner that I use for scanning photos and memorabilia. After scanning, you can transfer the images to your computer. I recommend putting them directly into Historian so you can have all your images together. To learn more about purchasing your own scanner, visit the Flip Pal site.
I wish I had a magic wand for you, but I do suggest Plan to Eat as an excellent way to manage your meal planning, shopping, and cooking so you'll have more time for your photos!
