I love working with people to preserve, protect and enjoy their memories. My greatest satisfaction is seeing the shine in a person's eyes, unlocked by a discovered memory from a photo or video that was previously forgotten or unable to be accessed.
I am a Certified Personal Photo Organizer. After working for over 25 years in technology and design for organizations such as Sungard Higher Education, IBM and the State Historical Society of Missouri, I Co-Founded Photo Gym in 2017. I learned a lot telling those business's stories and now I focus my knowledge and experience on helping you tell your story.
I have a unique combination of life and professional experiences and use it to help you find the best way to tell your very unique and personal life story.
Technology - Over 25 years supporting design and technical projects. I have been a trainer, a designer and a manager. As the Information Systems Manager for the State Historical Society in Missouri, I was driven to find new and intriguing ways to share the story of our State's history using photos, graphics and cutting-edge web services.
Design - I began designing when I was in high school, with a job as a t-shirt designer after school. Later, I used my design skills for web and print publications for small businesses creating publications, logos and websites. As the Web Services Integration Manager for Sungard Higher Education, I created engaging graphics for students, faculty and alumni at public Universities.
Photography - In addition to having experience with wedding photography, I have been my family's photographer since I was old enough to hold a camera. I love framing an image and knowing, before I click the shutter, what the story behind it is and how I plan to tell it so it can be shared and enjoyed by future generations.
Project Management - While working with IBM, I learned the value of the LEAN methodology: Creating more value for customers with fewer resources. I focus on continually improving the processes involved in photo management and organization and finding ways you can be successful in reaching your photo-related goals.
Organization - A large part of my life, both personally and professionally, is focused on organization. I thrive on transforming chaos into calm and order! I've worked with companies large and small to restructure their paper, digital and workflow processes to streamline what was formerly unmanageable.
Founded by Kathy and Dan Baldridge in 2017, Photo Gym focuses on finding ways to preserve, protect and help people enjoy their memories. If time or cost is an obstacle, we find solutions so you are able to overcome them. If you are searching for something extraordinary for a special event or occasion, tell us what you have in mind. With over 50 years of combined experience in the photo, design and technology industries, we can help.
People come to us for coaching if they want to manage their memories themselves. Personal Training is an excellent service that allows us to focus on a specific challenge and find a solution that works for each unique situation. We regularly provide classes and workshops, many of which are free at libraries, community centers, geneology and historical society meetings to give you the information you will need to get pointed in the right direction.
For those who prefer to leave the heavy lifting to us, we provide do-it-for-you services such as VHS conversion, photo scanning and organization, photo book and collage design and video montages. If you have a photo-related project in mind, we offer free consultations and are always excited to hear new ideas for telling stories with photos!
We are storytellers. Everyone has a story to tell. Our goal is to help you tell yours.
