Membership Terms

Please review our membership fees, solicitation policy and code of ethics. When you register as a new member or renew your membership you are agreeing to these terms.

Membership Fees

Annual Membership with the Association of Personal Photo Organizers runs from the date when a member joins through a term of one year. Membership automatically renews for successive annual terms unless either party provides 30 days’ prior written notice.

Quarterly Membership with the Association of Personal Photo Organizers runs from the date when a member joins through a term of 90 days. Membership automatically renews for successive quarters unless either party provides 30 days’ prior written notice.

Back Stage Passes
with the Association of Personal Photo Organizers run from the date when a member joins through a term of 30 days. Membership automatically renews for successive months until canceled.

Our renewal process is automated for your convenience and recurs until canceled. When you become a member at any level you are agreeing to auto-billing upon registration. Auto billing can be adjusted at any time from the control panel of your profile.

Failure to pay renewal fees in a timely manner results in suspension of membership and all member benefits, including access to and use of all APPO materials and the APPO member website. APPO account access and the member website will become inactive until membership fees are paid in full.

Membership fees are non-refundable.

APPO reserves the right to change fees, member types, member benefits, and terms of service at any time.

Solicitation Policy

APPO members may NOT solicit other members listed in our member directory, Facebook group, and forums for the purpose of promoting or selling services or products, without expressed permission from APPO. Industry Partners and Corporate Members may have individual agreements with APPO that govern their ability to promote their services and products. If you receive solicitation from members or partners that violate our solicitation policy please contact us at support@appo.org. Failure to adhere to our solicitation policy, may result in the suspension of member account and all member benefits. Membership fees are non-refundable.

APPO Code of Ethics

This Code of Ethics is a set of principles for Professional Members, to provide guidelines in our professional conduct with clients, colleagues, and community. As a member of the Association of Personal Photo Organizers, our members agree to conduct business honestly and ethically. We constantly strive to improve the quality of services and maintain a reputation for honesty, fairness, respect, responsibility, integrity, trust and sound business judgment. Our members agree to not compromise these principles for short-term advantage, and agree to the following:

  • Serve clients with integrity, competence, and objectivity, and will treat them with respect and courtesy.

  • Offer services in those areas in which the member is qualified and accurately represent those qualifications in both verbal and written communications.

  • Recommend the services of other qualified organizers and/or other qualified professionals, when unable or unqualified to fulfill requests for services directly.

  • Advertise services in an honest manner and represent the organizing profession accurately.

  • Keep confidential all client information, both business and personal.

  • Use proprietary client information only with the client's permission.

  • Refrain from using client confidential information for personal or business gain.

  • Independently determine and communicate fees and expenses directly to client.

  • Charge reasonable fees and expenses that are legitimate, and commensurate with member’s level of experience, services delivered, and the responsibility accepted.

  • Make recommendations for products and services with the client's best interests in mind.

  • Seek and maintain an equitable, honorable, and cooperative association with all colleagues, treating them with respect and courtesy.

  • Respect the intellectual and artistic property rights (professional photographs, materials, titles, and thematic creations) of APPO, colleagues, and other firms and individuals, and not use proprietary information or methodologies without permission.

  • Act and speak on a high professional level so as not to bring discredit to the organizing profession.
