Business Foundations: Get Your House in Order!

Are you ready to build a strong foundation for your business? How about we don’t just pour the foundation, but build the entire house so that it is nice and solid!

This Intensive will be a winning combination of fantastic content, planning, execution, and experiential learning. You will not only learn how to build a strong business, but work on exercises and templates during the Intensive so you walk away with more than just ideas and a to-do list.

Think of your business as a house. It needs a strong foundation to stand on. Only then should you be hanging out on the upper floors, promoting your business to get clients and focusing on profitability. However, many business owners start on the upper floors, ignoring the important foundational elements. This often results in a business that is never as strong as it can be, and may even be in danger of toppling over!

But it’s not too late! You will learn what business foundations you need to fully strengthen, protect and build a long-lasting business, and how to lay the foundation one brick at a time. Maybe you need to plug some holes. Or maybe you need to start with the first brick. Regardless of the type of business, you can go back and build or strengthen that important foundation.

Whether you are just starting out, are in the mid-years of your business, or have been at this a long time, you need to make sure that your House is in Order!

We will be covering all of the foundational elements of a strong business, including business entity and structure, agreements with your clients, team members and vendors, safeguarding your company with an Operations Manual and consistent policies and procedures, and using the law as a protective shield for you and your business (which includes intellectual property, insurance, liability issues, etc.).

Then we will go "upstairs" to focus on profitability. We will make sure that your pricing and fee structure are built to sustain a profitable business. We will talk numbers, finances, and more so that you understand the "for profit" side of your business.

Next up… Marketing! What's the point of having this awesome business with a strong foundation if you can't get any clients? We will cover branding, marketing, and networking, both traditional and online.

And because this Intensive is designed to be interactive, you will have the ability to brainstorm with attendees, engage in spotlight coaching with Lisa, troubleshoot ideas, and implement on site. Yes, this means you will be drafting some of the foundational documents during the Intensive so that you can ask questions, partner or team up with other attendees, pick Lisa’s brain, and get a lot done before you arrive home!

Lisa Montanaro
