Digital Photo Organizing: the How’s, the Why’s, and the Delivery

Join authorized trainers Rita Norton & Sherra Humphreys for a day and a half of digital photo organizing (DPO) training and hands-on learning. This 12-hour session will include training on all the core competencies required for DPO Certification.* This course also meets NAPO’s CEU eligibility requirements.
During this Intensive, you’ll learn the how’s and why’s of digital photo organizing and how to successfully manage a digital collection on a Mac or PC. You will learn how to implement best practices in your workflow with efficiency and gain confidence in the process as we take you through each step in your workflow with a real collection** on your own laptop.

Deliver a DPO system with next steps
The instruction also includes hands-on guidance and assistance as you complete the work of organizing and managing the photos.
We’ll wrap up the Intensive with options for delivering the new system to your client and ways you can continue working with your client for years to come!
Laptop (Mac or PC)***
Pre-conference homework will include 4 online video training tutorials that must be viewed prior to the Intensive. This material will be available to you no later than 3 months prior to the conference.
Photo Mechanic (30-day trial version is fine). A tutorial will be provided no later than 3 months prior, with basic computer settings and instructions that must be in place prior to the Intensive.
Duplicate software installed (either Photo Sweeper or Duplicate Cleaner)
* DPO Certification is a new Certification Course being introduced in early 2017. Remote photo organizing is not included in this training.
** Attendees will receive an image collection on-site for use during the Intensive.

Meet your Trainers
Sherra has built a career based on helping women succeed in small business. Her philosophy is to learn the business, do the work, and then help others do the same. Her comprehensive background in business coaching, training and website design means you get real life experience from this business owner. She has been helping women for over 20 years find their passion and turn it into a business that gives them freedom and flexibility. Her life’s work revolves around storytelling through photographs so she is passionate about the photo organization industry. She currently operates two businesses in tandem: Big Picture Coaching and Simple Photo Stories. She and Rita Norton are APPO authorized trainers and they are co-founders of My Workflow Studio, a premium training resource for photo organizers.
Rita has built a career based on helping people share stories with their photos. Her creative talents resulted in a very successful online business designing custom photo invitations. Her next adventure took her to the professional photography industry where she primarily photographs youth athletes in both indoor and outdoor sporting events. Keeping the camera in one hand, and staying true to her passion, she expanded her services by working in the photo organization industry. She has 16 years of photo and storytelling experience and operates a successful photo organizing business called Photovation. She is also co-founder of My Workflow Studio, a premium training resource for photo organizers.
